We had an issue with low water pressure/ flow following work done by Scottish Water to our meter. We had been let down by plumbers, and Scottish Water were of no help. The Plumbers from RLRatrray were fantastic. Arrived when they said they would, advised us what would happen, what they thought was the problem, diagnosed correctly and fixed the issue. We felt sorry for them as they had to dig several holes and one large one, to find out it was Scottish Water that had caused the problem. We will certainly sing their praises and advise others of their service. Well done. 5*

Called at 11:45am as boiler had stopped working and despite being busy they fitted the job in for the afternoon and had it working before 3pm. Having a new baby in the house and no heating or hot water was treated as priority which we are extremely grateful for.

We had a problem over New Year when our heating and hot water went off. Stevie came out on Sunday, located the problem,isolated it and got our heating working again, a godsend with a disabled husband that needs to be warm. Promised a plumber would be out to fix the burst hot water pipe the next day. Stuart duly arrived first thing Monday morning and repaired the offending pipe so all ix working fine again. Rattrays always give 5* service and all the staff are so pleasant, friendly and hard working. Highly recommend them. First class service and always help out even when its out of hours. Used Rattray a few times now for our oil boiler. Usually have to book several weeks in advance as they only have one oil engineer, but he’s a hard worker and keen to explain faults/solutions if you’re interested, which I appreciate. Only gripe is the last couple of visits were unexpected – nobody phoned to confirm appointment after I put in a request online. Just coincidence I was at home both times to let him in.

Used in November for a quick boiler repair. 3 Days before Christmas another part of the old boiler failed and started to leak water so it had to be turned off. We were facing a bleak Christmas with no heating or hot water but the following day a plumber who was due to be on holiday turned up and installed a new boiler. Above and beyond service.

Initially we used the company to install a new shower room and also main bathroom in our home. When they did a first class job. Yesterday we noticed a leak from the cold tap in our utility room. I reported the fault at approx 4pm. By 6pm Stuart had arrived and repaired leak. You can’t get better than that.

I used RL Rattray today to repair a faulty fan on my boiler which had been identified by the company who had serviced my boiler. Steve Devlin repaired the boiler also pointing out that the service company should have offered to effect the repair themselves rather than suggesting the work could only be performed by a Worcester/Bosch accredited engineer. The fan unit proved quite difficult to exchange which might explain the other service company’s reluctance. During the repair Steve noticed that the igniter should have been replaced. On examination it became obvious that this component had never been examined in any previous annual services and was in fact in serious danger of failing which would have prevented the boiler firing up. I was very impressed by Steve’s professional approach and have advised my previous service company that their services would no longer be required. I sent them a picture of the component to emphasise the issue. I will now ensure RL Rattray perform future annual services and any future installations and upgrades..
